Spring Civic Sweep and Chalk Bloom!

Celebrate Spring by Sweeping the Streets Clean with the Park Slope Civic Council!

Make a clean sweep of our neighborhood by joining the Sustainability Committee and the Arts Committee of the Park Slope Civic Council at the annual spring beautification, recycling and clean-up event — the Spring Civic Sweep — Volunteers will also pick up litter and paint out graffiti. Our check-in is on 5th Avenue between 3rd and 4th Streets adjacent to J.J. Byrne Playground/Washington Park.

A new addition to this spring’s Civic Sweep is the Chalk Bloom!:
With the assistance of professional artists, children, families, and other volunteers will be able to contribute to a Spring Bloom garden by drawing flowers on sidewalks with chalk.
