Hurricane Help: The 50 for 50 Initiative

Organized by Park Slope Parents, the 50 for 50 Initiative is a family-friendly way to help those struggling after Hurricane Sandy.

We want 50 families (more would be great) to make 50 meals for families in need by 5 p.m.  A hot meal is something many of these folks haven’t had in days!

Drop-off locations:

  • 493 12th St. between Eighth Avenue and Prospect Park West. Call ahead to Sara so she knows you’re coming– 732.619.0483
  • Two Boots, 514 2nd St., around the corner from Seventh Avenue

Here’s the sign up.  Fifty meals is great– perhaps we can hit 75 of 100?  Let’s try!

Be sure to read our previous posts about relief efforts, and learn more about the Brooklyn Recovery Fundthe Old Stone House and Park Slope Parents, and the Red Hook Initiative.
