Walkathon blazes a trail!

As Judith Lief, President of the Civic Council, wrote after the 2nd Annual Walk-a-thon concluded:

The weather was in our favor, and the kids had a great walk, led by our highly spirited, co-organizer Jamie Yuenger. Kudos to Ron Daignault’s wide, Teresa, who brought the medals – and a TEAM of about twelve girls. Sarah Murphy Gersowitz trudged up the hill with Fiona and baby Tallulah in tow. Big shout out to Sarah Huck and Kos Kaffe Roasting House for bringing Amelia and Louisa and a mondo check to help the cause! Thanks also to trustees SJ Avery, Candace Woodward and Joe Rydell for coming up to Grand Army Plaza to cheer on the walkers and support PSCC. Karen Guccione (who said, “I’m here because I actually read the PSCC e-blasts!”) was also a welcome cheerleader.

Over $1,000 raised! Thanks to everybody who helped and/or participated. We’re building momentum, with a 2nd walk more successful than the first – let’s make the 2018 walk-a-thon still more beneficial!
