DESCRIPTION:Brighten the holidays for a needy child by donating a toy or book to the Park Slope Civic Council’s 18th Annual Toys for Tots drive. All through the holiday season\, the Civic Council collects new and gently used unwrapped gifts for children ages 12 and under at locations throughout the Slope. DESCRIPTION:Organizers of the proposed business improvement district on Seventh Avenue are hosting an informational meeting where the public can learn more about and share their opinions on the BID. \nThe Park Slope Chamber of Commerce\, elected officials\, and community groups are seeking to create the new local BID to help improve the cleanliness of our streets and sidewalks\, beautify and green the area\, produce promotional events and materials\, and provide additional security through storefront cameras and volunteer patrols.
