A very important community KEY FOOD meeting

meeting

As you may remember, the Civic Council is a member of the Key Food Community Stakeholders Group, which has been negotiating with Avery Hall Investments (AHI) about their use of the Fifth Avenue Key Food property. After over six months of fact finding and discussions with AHI, the Stakeholders Group has called a meeting for Tuesday, November 1, at PS 133 (610 Baltic Street and 4th Avenue) from 6:30 to 8:30PM, to report back to the community.

We urge all interested parties to attend the meeting and get first hand information about the plans for redevelopment of the Key Food site.

Here s an excerpt from the flyer announcing the meeting, and if you click here, you can see the full flyer . . . with some additional details.
Key Food meetingThe flyer concludes, by the way, as follows:

“The stakeholder group will present the details on November 1st – and recommend that neighbors lend their broad support toward proceeding with the revised proposal. We believe this is a big win for our community (and for community organizing).”
