Joyce Jed, Trustee
Joyce has lived in Park Slope since 1970 and had a career as a psychologist and psychiatric hospital administrator, working for South Beach Psychiatric Center for 30 years. After retiring Joyce has worked and volunteered as a horticultural therapist, most recently at the Park Slope Armory Women’s Shelter, where she has worked with residents to plant a decorative garden in front of the building. For over 25 years has Joyce volunteered at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden helping to maintain the Education Greenhouses. Joyce is a founder of Good Neighbor of Park Slope, an aging in place organization, helping to grow its membership to over 650 individuals. Joyce is married and has two sons and four grandchildren.
