Deborah Lauter, First Vice President
Deborah and her husband moved to Park Slope in February 2021 and, after living in Manhattan and Fort Greene, she says they have “found the perfect neighborhood fit.” She is a lawyer who recently retired as the Executive Director of the NYC Office for the Prevention of Hate Crimes and has significant non-profit leadership experience at the Anti-Defamation League, the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, San Franciscans for Good Government, and elsewhere. Having used her advocacy skills to oppose the creation of a high-rise development that would adversely impact a community garden when she lived in Fort Greene, Deborah is now eager to “serve and advocate for the interests of the Park Slope community.”
