Rickie James, Trustee
Rickie was welcomed as a new trustee at the June, 2021 annual meeting of the Park Slope Civic Council. Rickie is a Brooklyn native and attended New York City public schools and the State University of New York (SUNY). He has a background in Architectural Technology and has been an Associate of the Brooklyn Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) since 2003. His experience has inspired a passion for historic preservation and land use that he plans to bring to his role with the Council.
Rickie currently serves on the Board of Trustees at the Park Slope United Methodist Church where his responsibilities include the preservation and upkeep of the church and parsonage.
Rickie states that “as a person of color I find my interest in Park Slope and its Civic Council draws me close to the heart of what Park Slope is all about, its people.”
