Sarah Murphy Gersowitz, Trustee
Sarah Gersowitz is a lifelong Park Sloper. She is an attorney in New York City. Sarah and her husband, Elliott, who met while attending The Berkeley Carroll School in middle school, keep busy parenting their two young daughters. She feels incredibly lucky to be able to raise her kids in this wonderful community. Sarah joined the Park Slope Civic Council in 2007 and was a trustee from 2009 until 2018 when her term ended. During her prior tenure as a trustee, Sarah co-chaired what was then the Outreach Committee and helped to establish Food For Thought as the beloved annual event that it is today. She is thrilled to serve as a trustee again and looks forward to helping to further raise the organization’s profile through its different initiatives.
Sarah previously served on the Alumni Council and Alumni Advisory Board at Berkeley Carroll and was a volunteer guide at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. When she has time, Sarah enjoys knitting and hiking with her family. One of her favorite things to do each summer is to try as many different blueberry pies as she can while vacationing in Bar Harbor, Maine.
