Park Slope should be a model of sustainability and responsible stewardship. While climate action requires state and global efforts, local actions send a powerful message and influence elected leaders.

The Sustainability Committee advocates for responsible resource use, promoting eco-friendly practices in the community. We focus on reducing energy usage, encouraging green building techniques, and raising awareness about sustainability and carbon footprints. We also aim to reduce waste, increase recycling, and partner with other groups. One of our largest events is the popular Civic Sweep neighborhood cleanup, held each fall and spring.
