Tammy Shaw, Food For Thought Co-Chair and FormerTrustee
Tammy is a real estate broker with Halstead and president of the Park Slope Chamber of Commerce. She has been connected to Park Slope through her professional life and as a resident since 1986. Tammy began her career in real estate with Brenton Realty, and then founded TB Shaw Realty Associates, which she sold to Halstead in 2016. As president of the Park Slope Chamber of Commerce, Tammy has worked with others on several initiatives to develop a 7th Avenue Business Improvement District (BID).
She is most interested in the areas of membership and outreach, and believes that it’s critical to increase the participation of millennials and Gen-Xers to ensure continuation of the Civic Council in population and relevancy. Tammy would love to develop a Park Slope Civic Kids offshoot and develop deeper ties with local schools. For the past two seasons, Tammy has served as the co-chair of the Civic Council’s annual fundraiser, Food For Thought.
