Peter Bray, the Executive Director of the Brooklyn Heights Association, and a PSCC Trustee, has extended a gracious invitation to all Park Slope residents to attend the BHA’s Annual Meeting on Monday, February 27th at 6:30 PM at St. Francis College, 180 Remsen Street. The evening will feature a panel discussion on the streetcar line proposed by the de Blasio Administration. The title of the panel is: The BQX: Is the City on the Right Track?
The panel will be moderated by Pulitzer prize-winning New York Times journalist, Jim Dwyer, who writes the About New York column. The panelists will include Ben Kabak, who writes a well-respected blog on New York transit issues, Second Avenue Sagas;, Candace Brakewood, an Assistant Professor at City College who does extensive research on transit operations and planning; David Bragdon, Executive Director of the Transit Center, an organization that advocates nationally for public transit; and Samuel Stein, a PhD graduate student at CUNY Graduate Center who has written an insightful article on the BQX and its relation to the City’s land use policies.
