There’s more to the Civic Council’s work than just the initiatives approved by our trustees and members. Every year, we also provide up to $10,000 in grants to local nonprofits and noncommercial organizations that have an impact on the quality of life in our neighborhood.

Every third Sunday in May, the Civic Council hosts a self-guided walking tour of lovely and interesting homes in Park Slope, a new section every year. Ticket-holders get a handsome illustrated brochure describing the history and interior of each home, along with a suggested route.
