The March meeting of Brooklyn Community Board 6’s Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs and Youth/Human Services & Education Committees will focus on Brooklyn Public Library programs and a City Council resolution concerning school food.
The meeting is set for Wednesday, March 20, 6:30 p.m., at the 78th Police Precinct, Court Room, 65 Sixth Ave. (corner Bergen Street).
On the agenda:
- Presentation and discussion with representatives of the Brooklyn Public Library on the range of services and programs throughout the boroughwide library system, with specific highlights on local services available at our district’s four branch libraries, namely Carroll Gardens, Pacific, Park Slope, and Red Hook.
- Presentation and discussion with representative of the Brooklyn Food Coalition on proposed City Council Resolution 1313, calling upon the New York City Department of Education’s Office of School Food to increase the health of food options in school lunches and breakfasts.
