Civic Pride Blooms!

Members of the Park Slope Civic Council recently planted annuals around the tree bed in front of the Community BookStore.

Earlier this year, thanks to an anonymous donor, the Civic Council had tree guards installed on both sides of the street on Seventh Avenue between Union and Fifth Streets.

The Civic Council is grateful to Trustee John Ciferni of Tarzian Hardware for his donation of flowers and to Trustee Candace Woodward for her oversight of the installation of the tree guards.

The installation of the tree guards has truly been a community effort. If you would like to contribute to the beautification of Park Slope, and the tree guard fund, please visit our website here and donate here.
