
With SNAP benefits in danger, local food pantries are running out of supplies and money. The Park Slope Civic Council is helping.
Last week, we sent checks to these food pantries:
- CHiPS
- Camp Friendship
- Saint Augustine – Saint Xavier Church
- Gowanus Mutual Aid
Local Food Drives
We are also supporting with the following food drives:
- November 7- 21: Drop off at The Old Stone House, 336 3rd Street, Friday – Sunday, 12-4 PM
- Saturday November 15 Bring donations to Civic Sweep, on 5th Avenue between 3rd and 4th Streets, from 10 AM to 2 PM
- Saturday, November 22: Drop off at Saint Augustine – Saint Francis Xavier Church, 225 6th Street, 12–5 PM
These are the most needed items:
Cereal, boxed milk, butters and jellies, rice, pasta, grains, cooking oil, canned fish, canned fruit, canned soup, mac and cheese, tomato sauce, beans, and boxed juices.
