The Healing Power of Stillness
Discover a stillness that brings rest and healing to our everyday lives.
Why: Have you ever felt a lack of calm in your life, or been overwhelmed by the onslaught of current events?
What: International speaker Larissa Snorek-Yates will give a free talk titled The Healing Power of Stillness. Her talk focuses on finding a deep-settled calm within ourselves that cannot be disrupted by fear or any outward disturbance. The talk will be based on ideas from the teachings of Jesus as recorded in the Bible, and from explanations in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.

When: Sunday, November 12, 2017 at 2:30PM. Doors open at 2pm for a communal hymn sing.

Who: Larissa Snorek-Yates, C.S, is a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship. She began her professional work in human rights advocacy and has served the Christian Science church in many capacities, including working as Africa Liaison for the International Service Department. She has facilitated workshops and given talks in French and English in Africa, Europe, Canada and the U.S. Prior to committing full-time to the practice of healing, she taught graduate students at the World Learning Institute where she received her Masters degree in sustainability and peace building. The institute focused on issues of social justice and community action. She is based just outside of Boston, Massachusetts and works full-time as a healing practitioner of Christian Science.
