A heartfelt thank you to all of the Civic Council trustees, families and volunteers who stepped out on October 18 to help make our Fall Civic Sweep a resounding success. We extend particular gratitude to Civic Sweep Co-Chairs Candace Woodward and Rory Dineen for their planning and organization of this event.
We welcomed a record number of new Civic Council members, cleaned and beautified the tree beds and sidewalks along Seventh Avenue, and helped facilitate the recycling of hundreds of pieces of electronic equipment.
A special thank you to Tarzian Hardware, the Lower East Side Ecology Center, and the Hedgehog Cafe for their participation in our event.
It was a beautiful day. Thank you all for contributing your time and enthusiasm to our community initiative.
