For a Cleaner, Greener Park Slope

From left at the PSCC 2022 Spring Sweep & Earth Day Celebration: Trustees Stephen Painter and Christina Gutierrez-Williams, and former Chair of the Sustainability Committee, Candace Woodward.

Three active committees lead the Civic Council’s sustainability initiatives. The newly formed Trees Committee plans to work with the Parks Department and local organizations and officials to increase the number of neighborhood trees and maintain them in better health. The Livable Streets Committee focuses on street and sidewalk safety and on addressing excessive congestion. The Sustainability Committee runs our twice-annual Civic Sweep and neighborhood beautification effort, recycling events and the Christmas Tree Mulchfest event in partnership with the Prospect Park Alliance. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to new Trustee and Sustainability Committee Co-Chair, Christina Gutierrez-Williams.
