The Park Slope Civic Council is very pleased to be a community partner of the Prospect Park Alliance, the non profit that works with the city to provide critical staff and resources to keep our park green and vibrant.
As an Alliance partner and member of the Alliances Community Committee, Civic Council members have the opportunity to participate in various Alliance initiatives.
This year one of those initiatives will be “Green and Go”
On multiple Saturdays throughout out the spring when the park becomes more crowded and becomes overwhelmed with liter, groups of people including families with children, assemble at designated locations throughout the park, receive their “Green and Go” kits, and spend a couple of hours picking up litter.
The Civic Council has reserved June 10 from 11 to 2 for our members and their families to participate.
