Applications for featured homes now being accepted
The Park Slope Civic Council is gearing up for its third annual Sustainability House Tour, returning on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. This year’s tour will once again spotlight homes that have embraced forward-thinking, eco-friendly upgrades: from rooftop solar arrays and high-efficiency heat pumps to triple-glazed windows, advanced insulation, and other smart building technologies.
The Civic Council is now welcoming homeowners, architects, contractors, real estate professionals, and anyone involved in sustainable design or construction to apply to showcase a property. The Tour offers a chance not only to celebrate innovative green renovations, but also to help neighbors learn what’s possible in their own homes.
House Tours have a long history in Park Slope: the Civic Council began hosting them in 1959, and introduced the sustainability-focused version in 2024. More than 200 people joined the Tour in both 2024 and 2025, visiting homes across Park Slope and nearby neighborhoods. Proceeds support the Civic Council’s community work, including grants to local organizations.
Applications to participate are now open, and the Council looks forward to highlighting another inspiring set of homes this spring.
