The Park Slope Civic Council advocates for the interests of residents, businesses, and others with a stake in the community.
Livable Streets
The Livable Streets Committee seeks to improve the use, safety and quality of the streets, sidewalks, and streetscape of Park Slope in ways that enhance street life and safety for all users.
Sustainability
The Sustainability Committee advocates for responsible use of natural resources in our community and promote better practices for the environment.
Historic District
The establishment of the Park Slope Historic District in 1973 played a strong role in Park Slope’s renaissance. The Civic Council’s efforts are presently focused on expanding the district.
Atlantic Yards
In 2006, the Park Slope Civic Council joined with other local organizations to launch an initiative known as BrooklylnSpeaks to advocate for accountable development at Atlantic Yards.
Gowanus Rezoning
The Park Slope Civic Council is proud to be a member of the Gowanus Neighborhood Coalition For Justice.
