Save the date: Mulchfest 2026 is on Saturday, January 10. We are partnering with the Prospect Park Alliance to recycle Christmas tree.
Bring your holiday tree to the Third Street entrance of Prospect Park between 10am and 2pm, where it will be turned into environmentally-friendly mulch. You can take home a free bag of mulch.
The Civic Council needs help with this green community event:
- Greet people at Third Street, hand out hot chocolate, and distribute mulch
- Prepare trees for the wood chipper by removing decorations
- Unload trees from the truck
