Please be aware that some planned road closures on Saturday, OCTOBER 10th will affect travel in some areas of Brooklyn, although its impact on Park Slope should be very limited.
Most road closures and detours will be in effect between 6:00 AM and 12 noon during the Rock n Roll Brooklyn Half Marathon. Road closure door hangers will be distributed along the route on September 17-19.
The race starts at 7:00am at Grand Army Plaza and finishes in Prospect Park after traversing parts of Eastern Pkwy, Flatbush, Ocean Ave and Ocean Pkwy. (Access lanes alongside Eastern and Ocean Parkways will remain open.)
Additional information about road closures, areas where parking will be affected, and an interactive map are available by clicking just below:

At 6:00 AM that Saturday, police and event personnel may implement a soft closure along the entire race course. At most points along the course, pedestrians and bicyclists may cross the course during safe gaps between runners. Streets will reopen on a rolling basis when the last participant passes and course support materials are removed.
