Common Cause/NY, Consumers Union, and Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams are co-sponsoring a FiOS public forum on November 17th. The purpose of the forum is to hear from residents about their experience obtaining Verizon FiOS service, explore any impediments to obtaining that service, and hear about the experience of customers once they have obtained it.
In 2008, Verizon signed a franchise agreement to provide FiOS availability to every residence in the city by mid-2014. A recent audit by the City, as well as the personal experiences of residents, contend that Verizon is not fulfilling its obligations under the agreement.
The forum will be held on Tuesday, November 17th, in the Community Room at Brooklyn Borough Hall (209 Joralemon St., 11201) from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend and be heard.
