Scary Fun in BOO-klyn!

Get ready for a fun Halloween in Park Slope for the whole family!

The main event for Monday, Oct. 31, will be “BOO-klyn!”, the Annual Park Slope Civic Council Children’s Halloween Parade — the largest such parade in the United States. The procession will start at 6:30 p.m. at 14th Street and Seventh Avenue. Marchers will walk along Seventh Avenue to Third Street, then turn left on Third Street toward Fifth Avenue. The parade will end at the Old Stone House, where the revelry will continue until 8:30 p.m.

The Civic Council, the Park Slope Chamber of Commerce, the Park Slope Farmer’s Market, Park Slope Parents, the Old Stone House, the Fifth Avenue BID, and the Puppeteers’ Cooperative are teaming up to make the Oct. 31 festivities magical and memorable. Be ready for ghosts, goblins, witches, and other things that go bump in the night running through the neighborhood!

In preparation for the parade, the Old Stone House and Park Slope Parents will host parade-related crafts activities at their annual Harvest Festival on Sunday, Oct. 23, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition to pony rides, a petting zoo, and other fall fun, kids and grown-ups can make banners, puppets, or costume pieces related to this year’s “BOO-klyn” theme.
