Dear Park Slope Neighbors,
As the holiday season goes into full swing, I wanted to take the time to personally thank you for your engagement with the Park Slope Civic Council. Whether you’re a member, a friendly face at one of our large or small meetings or an attendee at events like the world-famous Halloween Parade, our environmentally conscious Civic Sweeps, the scholarship-supporting Food for Thought or the community grant-supporting House Tour, your participation is so important to us.
It’s important because everything we do is backed by a simple mission of advocating for this community and all the people who live here. Community support and participation is the force that’s led to our success in being at the negotiating table with the Fifth Avenue Key Food Stakeholder Group and developers and with New York Methodist Hospital and its architects; working with preservation groups and meeting with the City Council to expand the historic district and thereby protect the history and architectural integrity of our neighborhood; as well as collaborating in programs with Gowanus Arts Conservancy, Transportation Alternatives, the BIDs and so many more.
In that spirit, I’d like to ask you to keep the Park Slope Civic Council in mind for your end-of year charitable giving.
We hope we can count on your support.
Your donation helps us to preserve, protect and promote the diversity of Park Slope and its residents. And all donations are fully tax deductible, so you’ll be giving yourself a little gift as well.
Please help us ensure the Park Slope Civic Council continues to flourish in 2017 by making your contribution today.
Thank you! And from all of the trustees, our very best wishes to you and your loved ones for a peaceful and happy holiday!
Judith Lief, President
