MTA NYC Transit has announced alternative service plans for the F and G lines over four weekends in 2012, due to the agency’s ongoing work along the Culver line in Brooklyn. This work includes the rehabilitation of the Culver Viaduct, the complete station rehabilitation of the Smith-Ninth Streets station, and the Church Avenue Interlocking Project. (Read more about the project here.)
During the weekends of Sept. 8-10, Sept. 22-24, Nov. 17-19, and Dec. 1-3, 2012, from 12:01 a.m. Saturday through 5 a.m. Monday, the following alternate service will be in effect:
- F service will be replaced by fare-free shuttle buses from Jay Street-MetroTech to 18th Avenue.
- G service will operate in two sections, from Court Square in Queens to Bedford-Nostrand Avenues and from Bedford-Nostrand Avenues to Hoyt-Schermerhorn.
More detailed information regarding the alternate service can be found on the service posters that will be posted at each affected station, or by accessing the MTA website for updates.
