Burnley Duke Dame, Trustee
Burnley Duke Dame has been a resident of Park Slope since 1970. She is a former Trustee of the Park Slope Civic Council and has served in numerous other community roles throughout her decades in the community. These include founding Harley Housewares (now Tarzan West), co-founding the 7th Avenue Betterment Committee, securing a 501(c)(3) designation for Camp Friendship Youth Programs and serving as its first board president, and serving as the Brownstone Revival Committee’s executive director. Burnley recently became re-engaged with the Civic Council through her interest and passion for neighborhood preservation and out-of-context buildings. She recently joined the PSCC ad hoc Arrow Linen committee.
