Edward de Sciora, Trustee
Eddie is a third-generation Park Slope resident and communications executive with a strong commitment to community-building and civic engagement. He believes not only that all politics is local, but that all impact is local too. That belief is personal: his grandparents were civil servants in Park Slope, and their example helped instill in him a lasting sense of responsibility to the neighborhood. As a member of the Park Slope Civic Council’s marketing committee, Eddie has worked to help broaden the organization’s reach and connect with more neighbors, including young families and professionals looking to get involved in local life. As a trustee, Eddie would also plan to support the Civic Council’s operations, membership engagement, events, and advocacy efforts. He is especially interested in livable streets, neighborhood quality of life, and making Park Slope feel even more connected, pedestrian-friendly, and welcoming.
