Join the PSCC on Saturday, January 8 for Mulchfest 2022! Bring your holiday tree to the Third Street entrance of Prospect Park between 10:00am and 2:00pm, where it will be turned into environmentally-friendly mulch you can take home free of charge. Complimentary hot chocolate will be served while you wait.
We need volunteers to help with this event! Specifically we need help with the following.
- Greeting people at Third Street, handing out hot chocolate, and distributing mulch.
- Walking along with our rented pickup truck and helping to collect trees from the sidewalks (volunteers are needed for this role starting at 9:00am).
- Unloading trees from the truck.
If you’d like to volunteer, please e-mail the Civic Council’s Sustainability Committee at sustainability@parkslopeciviccouncil.org with the task you’d like to volunteer for and the hours of your availability.
