“Little Fugitive” Screening

On Saturday, October 13th the PSCC Arts Committee will be screening “Little Fugitive,” an award winning (1953) short by Ray Ashley, Morris Engel and Ruth Orkin. Featured at last year’s Shorts in the Slope Festival, “Little Fugitive” was introduced by Gowanus resident, Mary Engel, the filmmakers’ daughter.

You Can Help Protect The Botanic Garden from Outsized Development

The Park Slope Civic Council opposes a project proposed by Bruce Eicher for a site adjacent to the eastern boundary of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden that would involve a rezoning application involving a more than 300% increase in the allowable density of the site. 1,450 housing units in a building that is planned to be more than 40 stories tall, would forever overwhelm the botanic garden and its greenhouse visually and with significant shadows for much of the day
